The Story

I wanted a TinyURL clone that I could control and monitor for another (now defunct) project of mine. This site is very old and I slapped it together in an hour, but it works pretty darn well for what it does.

Later, I used the core functionality of the API in a similar project at work, Password 4 Me.

What I Did

• Acquired the shortest domain name that I could find that was pronounceable
• Wrote the API class that controls database access, sanity checking, etc
• Created a CSS theme inspired by the colors from the Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss

No, I don't know why I chose those colors, or why the turkey is "special". Yes, that is Comic Sans.
